Topic area progress

Golden board answer formula

Risk → ethics/legal → formulation → action → consultation → documentation → follow-up. This keeps your answer focused, even when the case study is doing emotional parkour.

How to study with this site

Work through Notes first, tick Topics as you revise, use Flashcards for recall, then test yourself with Quiz and Cases. Your progress saves locally in your browser.

📚 Revision checklist

Boards topics, minus the spiral.

Tick topics as you revise them. The expanded list now includes exam strategy, HPCSA ethics, legislation, assessment, diagnosis, risk and intervention.

Checklist

🧠 Condensed notes

Study notes that actually behave.

These are organised for board-style answering: quick points first, then the exact “board angle” to remember under pressure.

Board notes

Condensed from your uploaded notes into exam-friendly chunks. Use the filter buttons to focus on one area.

🃏 Recall practice

Flip, answer, repeat.

The flashcards now cover ethics, legislation, assessment, diagnosis, formulation, risk and intervention from your notes.

✅ Board-style MCQs

Practise the judgement call.

These questions are designed around common HPCSA board reasoning: risk, consent, test use, reporting, diagnosis and intervention.

Goal

Choose the best ethical answer, then read the explanation. Boards love the “why”.

🧩 Case vignettes

Train your board-exam brain.

These scenarios are based on the patterns in your notes: consent disputes, abuse, ADHD/mood/learning complexity, suicide risk, HIV considerations and scope concerns.

Case answer structure

1. Referral question
2. Risk/safety
3. Ethics/legal
4. Missing information
5. Formulation/diagnosis
6. Intervention/referral
7. Documentation/follow-up

How to practise

Type your answer before opening the guide. The answer saves locally in this browser so you can come back and cringe productively later.

🗓️ 7 October 2026 plan

A board prep timeline with fewer side quests.

Use this as your main pacing guide. Adjust it based on supervision, mock results and the topics that keep sneaking up behind you.

Exam date

7 October 2026

The plan works backwards from the confirmed date and keeps September for case practice instead of last-minute PDF archaeology.

Weekly rhythm

Suggested routine

3 focused sessions for notes, 2 short flashcard/quiz sessions, and 1 case answer per week until September. In September, flip that: cases become the main event.

🗂️ Source index

Know what fed the beast.

A tidy index of the uploaded materials used to build the expanded study hub.

Uploaded source pack index

This website uses your uploaded notes to create study content. I did not bundle the source PDFs/books into the website zip; keep your original files alongside the site if you want the full readings. This avoids turning your study hub into a 40 MB copyright lasagne.
